Chiff offers a streamlined approach to web authentication, enabling users to log into any website via TouchID or FaceID on both mobile devices and desktop computers. This solution eliminates the need to memorize passwords, including a master password, by integrating directly with your browser for seamless authorization through biometric verification.

Why consider Chiff?

Traditional password-based login systems have become increasingly problematic, requiring complex, unique passwords for each site and regular updates. While unlocking smartphones with biometric data is intuitive and secure, similar convenience has not been widely applied to web authentication. Chiff addresses this gap by providing a modern approach to login procedures.

What does Chiff do?

Enables login to websites using biometric authentication that triggers push notifications on your phone for authorization.
Available free of charge for personal use.
Supports the use of long, complex, and unique passwords for all online accounts.
Stores passwords securely on your device, ensuring local control of sensitive data.
Supports multiple authentication methods, including One Time Passwords (OTP) and Passkeys.
Represents an innovative shift in login methodology.

The security of user data is a primary concern. Independent third-party evaluations have thoroughly tested the security of both the app and browser extension. Chiff ensures that sensitive information remains inaccessible to external entities; passwords are stored solely on the user's device, and communication between the app and browser is end-to-end encrypted. This design emphasizes privacy alongside security.
